Bluewater Cycling Organization

The Bluewater Cycling Organization is a local not-for-profit with a mission statement of creating a more active, healthy and connected community. The organization focuses on providing cycling programs and events for a wide ranging demographic to achieve this mission.

Growth Mindset Co. first developed their Youth Spokes Program for the 2022 cycling season and then quickly was invited to help out with the organizations full operations. Kendel now holds weekly hours with the organization as an Operations Manager.

What does Growth Mindset Co do for Bluewater Cycling?

  • Successfully applied for and acquired $55,000 in grant funding.

  • Created presentation and represented the organization at council, successfully securing city council’s vote to work with the organization.

  • Helped to secure sponsorship funding.

  • Created an operations manual for the organization that overviews all tasks required to successfully facilitate a year with the organization.

  • Navigated the operational processes to a project management software.

  • Helps with behind the scenes operations for all major events and programs.

  • Curates the Youth Spokes program by managing the leaders and facilitates the operations.

  • Created presentations on new initiatives and presented ideas to various interest groups.

  • Attends events as a representative of the organization to promote events and programs.

  • Represents the organization in media communications.

  • Creates press releases.

  • Created, promoted and helped facilitate ‘BIG Bike Week’.

  • Creates agendas for committee and sub committee meetings.

  • Created and sent invoices to sponsors for all events.

  • Maintains 3 organizational websites.

  • Creates social media content and manages the organizations social media.

  • Created feedback systems for all events and programs.

  • Helped with registration and communication with participants for all events and programs.

  • Meets to deliver progress reports on a bi-weekly basis with the Board Chair.
